I am a Spanish postdoc working at the University of Amsterdam since two years ago and I wanted to improve my Dutch level, specially my speaking skills. A former student of Annemieke had already told me about Annemieke and I decided to contact her. I have been a student of Annemieke Luijckx for the period January-April 2017, following an individual course of Dutch language (intermediate level), in order to prepare the NT2 exam that I want to take this year. Since our first lesson together, Annemieke showed that she is an excellent teacher. First of all, because she really focused on my weak points, which in my case were related to the correct pronunciation of the Dutch language and part of the grammar. Besides, she always prepares the lessons very well, with specific exercises to solve the troubles that she finds during the correction of the homework.
She has a broad collection of material (books and audio) and she always encourages and motivates you to further improve your skills. Being ready to participate in conversations in another language/culture is not easy, but Annemieke always gives very good advice about how to do it. She also masters Spanish and English and she is very nice, cheerful, dynamic and polite.
I would really recommend her as a teacher of the Dutch language for foreigners. I have really learned a lot with her.

Annemieke has been my private teacher of Dutch during the past two months for a rather intensive course before my staatsexamen NT2-II. We have been practicing speaking by using specific exercises as well as through normal conversation. Also, we have done written exercises with longer texts as homework and grammar exercises.

I had the pleasure of being Annemiekes student for 2 courses and I couldn't be happier. She is a lovely teacher with a great experience in teaching dutch. I'm glad the company I work for chose her to teach us dutch. Her english is incredible and the way she has to teach dutch is very unique. I'm glad I had found Annemieke on Marktplaats when I was looking for an English teacher. She is a very good and nice teacher. Her lessons are versatile and well adapted to the student. When I first arrived in the Netherlands with only a few basic Dutch phrases I looked for a course that would give me a real boost. I took a three-month group course in Dutch with Annemieke at the University, and in that short time my knowledge and my confidence increased enormously. We covered both everyday Dutch situations and more academic vocabulary, using a wide range of supporting materials on a variety of topics, including popular culture, Dutch cultural norms, fine art and poetry. Annemieke used written texts, videos and audio clips as the basis for really interesting and useful lessons, and the grammar (which can be a real challenge for native English speakers!) never felt forced or dry. The group was made up of students with varying levels of Dutch, and I was impressed with how much we all benefited from the course despite that. Annemieke was also really helpful in answering my questions during the course.
She is extremely reliable, and her knowledge of the language and of different teaching methods is extensive. Her English is absolutely fluent and she also speaks other languages, though she never let us be lazy and fall back on our native languages if we knew the Dutch words! I recommend Annemieke to anyone wanting to learn or improve their Dutch.
